Director, Software Engineering

Summary

Join Recast Software as a senior software engineering leader, overseeing 5 (soon to be 6) product scrum teams and a DevOps team across the US, Netherlands, and Finland. Requirements

• Global experience leading multiple teams across various geographies, navigating cultural differences
• Multi-product experience, including B2B SaaS
• Experience with technically complex products; enjoys understanding how things work and technical details
• Architectural experience, either directly or as a key stakeholder
• Experience leading major software transformations
• Ability to build supportive, risk-taking, thoughtful, action-oriented, and data-oriented teams
• Enjoys people and cultivating a team environment
• Enjoys solving customer and business problems

Responsibilities

• Lead 5 product scrum teams (soon to be 6) and one dev ops team
• Partner with Product Management in planning, roadmap, execution, and evaluation
• Contribute to the architectural direction of applications and platform
• Partner closely with Customers, Sales, Customer Success, and Technical Support
• Provide input on the technical product roadmap
• Mentor and grow the organization
• Help the organization act as one team
• Help individuals grow technically, in their careers, scope of responsibility, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Identify strengths and areas of need for the organization
• Ensure engineers understand customer needs and the impact of their work
• Create a multi-product single platform
• Understand the domain and how engineering and product innovation can impact it
• Ensure continual improvement

• Salary range: $175,000-$240,000
