Summary
Join Raintree Systems as their Vice President of Software Engineering, a remote U.S. based position (specific states listed). Requirements
- 10+ years of commercial software development experience with open source technologies
- 8+ years in software development leadership roles
- BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years experience developing SaaS cloud based applications
- Experience modernizing older architectures and applications
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team and establish best practice engineering standards and processes
- Create a culture of quality
- Champion new ideas and capabilities needed to drive business growth and platform innovation
- Be responsible for the development and delivery of the product
- Motivate development staff and provide technical direction, guidance, and leadership
- Be recognized as both a manager and support resource/mentor
- Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the development department
- Assure that the department achieves its objectives and project completion within budget and time frame
- Ensure that roles, responsibilities, performance measures, and processes are established and clearly communicated
- Foster and support a culture of innovation and excellence within the development team

- Understanding of modern architectures, including MicroServices, Typescript, React, and AWS
- Building Application & Architectural Roadmaps
- Experience with HIPAA, OWASP, and Security frameworks/controls (NIST/CIS)
