Summary
Join Get Logistics as a Drayage Business Development professional and contribute to a collaborative team focused on exceeding client expectations. This remote, full-time position requires developing and maintaining strong relationships with freight forwarders, ensuring smooth shipment movement. You will identify and prospect potential clients, negotiate rates, collaborate on transportation solutions, and monitor performance metrics. Success in this role demands proven sales experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with CRM software. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building successful business relationships
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
- Ability to travel, as required, to meet with clients
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect potential freight forwarding companies and BCO's to expand the company's client base
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects through regular communication and visits
- Negotiate rates and contractual terms with clients and prospects to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Collaborate with clients, operations teams, and drayage providers to create efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing the company's drayage capabilities and solutions
