Summary
Join Input Output Global (IOG) as their Ecosystem Data & Insights Lead and define, implement strategies for measuring and understanding IOG’s developer ecosystem. This role involves researching developer communities, leveraging blockchain and decentralized technology knowledge, and implementing CRM systems. You will develop IOG’s ecosystem intelligence function, translating ecosystem health metrics into business value. Lead ecosystem data strategy, CRM implementation & integration, and oversee data collection & analysis projects. Develop innovative research methodologies, leverage AI for enhanced data insights, and link data to business objectives. Promote social intelligence across teams and drive data-driven approaches to ecosystem growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ data insights experience preferably with Web3 developer ecosystems
- Demonstrated success working autonomously in remote environments
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and web3 ecosystems with a good understanding of wider technologies
- Understanding of governance systems and community dynamics
- Experience in developer ecosystem analytics and establishing metrics that drive decision-making
- Proven experience implementing or significantly enhancing CRM systems for technical communities
- Expert on Brandwatch, TalkWalker, Netbase, Pulsar, Meltwater or other social listening tools
- Working knowledge of HubSpot in addition to other similar CRM systems
- Competent in the creative use of AI tools to gather narratives and parse data into actionable insights
- Excellent writing and language skills (native English)
- Some experience of Python and API management
- Able to liaise effectively across teams and departments, taking a consultative approach on business needs and ability to convey complex data insights in a clear and accessible manner to non-expert stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of developer communities and dynamics
- Experience measuring technical ecosystem health
- Strong ability to map and analyze community relationships
- Experience implementing and optimizing ecosystem and developer-focused CRM systems
- Strong capability in technical ecosystem measurement
- Track record of driving cross-functional adoption of data tools and insights
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority in remote-first environments
- Demonstrable experience in translating social listening and data insights into actionable business strategies that address diverse business challenges particularly in developer ecosystems and technical communities
- Experience mapping and analyzing technical relationships and ecosystem dynamics
- Exceptional ability to create compelling narratives with data, through decks, dashboards, and presentations that simplify complex insights and emphasize their relevance to business goals for both technical and business audiences
- Current in marketing effectiveness, data analysis, and Web3 analytics, with a commitment to producing high-impact insights
- Proactive approach, with an inherent curiosity that drives continuous learning and innovative problem-solving
- Skilled in the application of AI and machine learning tools within social listening and data analytics
- Capable of identifying and implementing AI solutions that enhance data processing efficiency, predictive insights, and overall strategic value
- Collaborative approach to working with the wider Ai community
- Skilled at juggling multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, with the ability to discuss complex findings and recommendations clearly and confidently
- Advanced understanding of quantitative research, data planning, manipulation of large datasets, and data visualization techniques; ability to engage with technical content
- Methodical approach to tasks, with strong organizational and time-management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead Ecosystem Data Strategy
- Act as the primary strategist for ecosystem data and social intelligence across IOG’s product lines and initiatives
- Develop and implement a cohesive, high-level strategy for data gathering, analytics, and ecosystem metrics reporting that aligns with IO's long-term objectives
- Define and implement clear ROI metrics
- Create an ecosystem maturity model combining quantitative and qualitative indicators
- Lead CRM Implementation & Integration
- Develop and execute ecosystem CRM strategy focused on developer ecosystem needs
- Ensure data quality and consistency across platforms
- Create a unified reporting framework showing clear business impact
- Oversee Data Collection & Analysis Projects
- Run end-to-end social listening and research projects, ensuring smooth execution from data collection to insights delivery
- Focus on translating data into actionable insights that support business growth and competitive positioning including developer/DApp tracking and governance monitoring
- Maintain early warning systems for strategic issues and opportunities
- Develop Innovative Research Methodologies
- Design and implement mixed-methodology studies (quantitative and qualitative) that address business objectives, providing valuable insights that shape product development, marketing, and ecosystem initiatives
- Leverage AI for Enhanced Data Insights
- Utilize AI and machine learning tools to optimize data collection
- Enhance insights generation, and improve predictive accuracy across ecosystem data
- Integrate AI-driven methodologies for tasks such as trend prediction, sentiment analysis, and community behavior modeling to deepen understanding and guide strategic decisions
- Link Data to Business Objectives
- Establish a metrics-based framework for linking ecosystem and social intelligence data to IO’s broader business goals, demonstrating how ecosystem and community initiatives contribute to strategic outcomes
- Promote Social Intelligence Across Teams
- Champion the value of social intelligence within IOG, educating internal teams on research methodologies and showcasing practical applications to drive business results and champion a data driven culture throughout IO and related ventures
- Drive Data-driven approaches to ecosystem growth
- Enable broader access to ecosystem insights through intuitive dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools, allowing non-technical stakeholders to engage meaningfully with data insights and championing their use
- Track high-impact projects through clear success metrics. Build network maps showing community influence patterns per roles and sectors
