Summary

The job description is for a Short-Term Technical Assistance (STTA) Editor for the USAID Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity under Kaizen Company. The editor will be responsible for enhancing and improving text, proofreading, reviewing, and editing various documents, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects at any given time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, humanities, social sciences, international development, or a related field
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • 2 to 4+ years of experience in writing and editing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented, quick reader, and multi-tasker
  • Previous experience working with USAID-funded projects

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and improve text, proofread, review, and edit written and digital content
  • Ensure that final work products are error-free, consistent, and accurate
  • Review content for acronyms, abbreviations, and subject-specific nomenclature
  • Harmonize the voice and flow throughout documents
  • Verify spacing, font size, etc. as instructed by the Activity
  • Suggest process improvements through exposure to editing and proofing procedures
  • Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at any given time

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in Kaizen's office in Washington, DC (not specified if this is a requirement or preference)
