Requirements
- Comfortable asking for sales and payment for mutually agreed-upon solutions
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and adapt quickly in a high phone volume environment
- Demonstrate a strong desire to help customers achieve learning outcomes and believe in high-quality online learning
- Exhibit confidence in communicating via phone with potential clients
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot technical issues, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Work 35-40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends
- Understand and appreciate that Nerdy is an apolitical company focused on helping people learn
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and outbound call-backs to potential customers interested in tutoring, courses, or homeschool support
- Conduct consultative conversations to understand customer needs and recommend customized solutions
- Influence prospective students/families to purchase services or schedule follow-up conversations
- Meet monthly performance targets by leveraging educational experience and company training
- Attend paid live remote training via Zoom and complete pre-recorded modules
- Work some evenings and weekends after completing training
- Adhere to guidelines/prompts to ensure consistent customer experience and sales achievement
Preferred Qualifications
- Have education, teaching, or tutoring experience
- Hold a Bachelor's degree
- Possess high empathy and emotional intelligence to understand families' educational needs and make product/service recommendations

- $40,000 annualized base compensation, plus overtime pay eligibility
