Electrical/Mechanical Instructor

Summary

Join TPC Training, a leader in practical skills training, as a Mechanical and/or Electrical Instructor! This full-time, remote position offers a $75,000 annual salary for approximately 150 teaching days. Instructors will deliver hands-on and lecture-based training to 2-25 students, requiring travel to various training events. The ideal candidate possesses extensive field experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, excellent communication and presentation skills, and an Associate's degree or higher in a relevant discipline. Experience with virtual training platforms is a plus. The position requires managing training equipment and delivering instruction on various mechanical and electrical topics.

Requirements

• Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver technical training
• Have 10 years of field experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or Skilled Trades Training
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset with the ability and passion to share knowledge and experience
• Be willing to travel regularly to scheduled training events
• Have an associate degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline
• Possess real-world experience as a Maintenance Technician or Skilled Trades Training
• Have presentation skills and be willing to travel extensively
• Have an Associate’s degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline applying

Responsibilities

• Instruct 2-25 students in a classroom setting using hands-on and lecture methods
• Travel regularly to scheduled training events
• Manage training support equipment up to 90 pounds
• Deliver training on one or more of the specified mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Use MS Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel)

Have experience with virtual training via Zoom platform
