Summary

National Power is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Electrician Helper for their Columbus, OH region. The employee will perform lead electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. They must have a High School Diploma / GED and minimum of 6 years in Commercial (experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus).

Requirements

  • Travel up to 100% (up to 2 weeks)
  • Lift at least 75 lbs
  • Push or pull cables up to 60 lbs
  • Climb ladders up to 8 ft
  • Work/stand on ladders for long periods of time
  • Stand continuously
  • Frequently reach above, below, or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bend, twist, or stoop
  • Frequently crouch or squat
  • Be exposed to a central office/cable office environment with moderate noise levels and nominal variations in heat and cold

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and service electrical systems
  • Source or fabricate replacement electrical components
  • Knowledge of the NEC and Interpret blueprints and carry out work accordingly
  • Guide and oversee other electricians as necessary
  • Obtain required equipment, tools, and materials for projects
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Provide assistance during emergencies
  • Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports
