Summary

Join REGENT's Platform Software Team to develop and test low-level embedded software for seagliders, working on drivers, emulators, and algorithms. As a highly motivated software engineering student, you'll have the opportunity to see your code flying at 180 mph.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field
• Experience developing software in C/C++
• Experience working with Microcontrollers such as STM32s, PIC32s, Arduinos, etc
• Familiar with software development processes including source control, bug tracking, and design documentation
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or Matlab
• Experience with Simulation/Modeling tools like Simulink or LabVIEW

Responsibilities

• Develop drivers for new vehicle hardware
• Build emulators to recreate flight scenarios in the lab
• Create algorithms to process sensor data in-flight
