Summary

IntelliPro is seeking an experienced Embedded System Engineer for a full-time remote/Houston position. The candidate will work on autonomous trucking systems, designing, developing, and implementing embedded software and hardware solutions. Key responsibilities include optimizing performance, migrating applications, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in embedded systems design and development
  • Strong C++ programming skills
  • Expertise in one of the following fields: Computer Architecture, RTOS, or Embedded System
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python or Assembly
  • Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and embedded systems architecture
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
  • Experience with debugging and testing tools for embedded systems (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • 5+ years of experience in Embedded system design and autonomous driving industry or automotive manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement embedded software and hardware solutions for autonomous trucking systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications
  • Develop and maintain firmware for microcontrollers and other embedded devices
  • Implement middleware/ROS core functionalities for autonomous vehicle applications
  • Conduct system-level testing and debugging to ensure functionality and performance of embedded systems in autonomous trucks
  • Optimize and enhance existing embedded systems for improved performance and efficiency, focusing on reducing latency and improving determinism
  • Migrate applications from powerful servers to embedded systems tailored for autonomous trucks
  • Develop and maintain documentation for embedded systems, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in embedded systems technology and autonomous vehicle standards, incorporating best practices into projects
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for embedded systems in autonomous trucking solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with middleware development
  • Experience with Nvidia Drive products
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M series microcontrollers
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee)
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
