Engineer

Summary

Join Stedi, the world’s only API-first healthcare clearinghouse, and become a key member of our engineering team. We are seeking an experienced backend engineer to design and develop complex, large-scale web applications and APIs. You will work closely with AWS, leveraging serverless technologies, to improve our services and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence. Your responsibilities include building high-quality, cost-effective commercial trading networks. This role requires extensive experience with AWS services and Rust programming, along with a commitment to serverless technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience coding in general, and 2+ years in Rust; experience in TypeScript is beneficial
• 4+ years working with AWS services
• Committed to working with AWS serverless offerings in a production environment
• Ability to prioritize your work based on the needs of the business and the customers
• High bandwidth; thoughtful attention to many areas simultaneously
• Ability to context switch throughout the course of the day or week as priorities shift
• Philosophical alignment with the Stedi Standards

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex, large-scale web applications and APIs
• Work closely with AWS to improve our understanding and use of their services
• Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence and rigor through both coding and writing high-quality, effective communication
• Build the highest quality, broadest-reaching commercial trading network at the lowest possible price for our customers
