You will work directly with CISOs, security architects, and data protection leaders, solving their business issues and implementing Symmetry's capabilities. You'll drive revenue through complex sales, manage proof of values, and deliver technical demonstrations. As the technical point of contact, you will manage internal resources, support the sales team, engage with partners, and represent Symmetry at marketing events. This role blends technical expertise with strategic thinking and relationship-building skills. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales or sales engineering, preferably in the data security or technology industry
  • Demonstrated success in supporting enterprise data security solutions sales and achieving technical win rates
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with technical decision-makers at all levels within Japanese organizations
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and architect effective technical solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to present and articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate security concepts related to data protection solutions
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of data security architectures
  • Familiarity with Japanese data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
  • Willingness to travel throughout Japan to meet with clients and attend industry events

Responsibilities

  • Craft technical solutions that address enterprise data security challenges specific to Japanese businesses
  • Deliver compelling demonstrations of Symmetry's DSPM platform adapted for Japanese audiences
  • Design and execute proof of value (PoV) engagements with Japanese prospects
  • Translate complex security concepts into business value for Japanese stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Japan Account Executives to drive sales opportunities
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the entire sales cycle with cultural sensitivity
  • Identify and document Japanese customer requirements and use cases
  • Build relationships with technical decision-makers at target Japanese accounts
  • Support partner enablement and channel sales initiatives in the Japanese market
  • Represent Symmetry at industry events and conferences across Japan
  • Help adapt product documentation and technical materials for Japanese customers
  • Bridge communication between Japanese customers and US-based product teams
