Requirements

Bachelors in materials science, electrical engineering, physics, or other technical field

Responsibilities

  • Work in an R&D environment to develop cutting-edge space solar cell products
  • Become an expert in semiconductor materials characterization
  • Support research and development of processes for the metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) of III/V semiconductor photovoltaic devices, from the concept phase to the manufacturing phase
  • Maintain product readiness of MOCVD reactors
  • Participate in continuous improvement of production MOCVD processes
  • Document procedures and best practices in support of technology transfer to production

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in materials science, electrical engineering, physics, or other technical field with experience working with semiconductors or similar
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience with processing or testing of optoelectronic devices
  • Experience working in a production-oriented manufacturing facility
  • Experience with maintenance of semiconductor characterization or process equipment
