Engineer II - Terraform Actions

Summary

Join HashiCorp's Terraform Authorship team as a full-stack engineer to build and maintain HCP Terraform applications. You will develop and maintain application code using Ruby on Rails, Golang, and Ember, deliver well-defined solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, investigate problems and performance bottlenecks, and support production through on-call rotation. The role involves enabling new workflows, building innovative infrastructure management experiences, and shaping Terraform's evolution into a comprehensive operations tool. This is a remote position. Compensation is competitive and varies based on location and experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer, working on any of the following: Ruby on Rails, Golang, Ember.js
• Debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong written communication skills
• A growth mindset and desire to learn more about Terraform

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application code across the full stack of HCP Terraform in Ruby on Rails, Golang, and Ember
• Own the delivery of well-defined solutions
• Contribute to architectural decision-making through the RFC process
• Investigate problems, performance bottlenecks, and customer escalations
• Enable your teammates through code reviews and pairing
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation that supports this feature in production

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible
