Summary

Join our team as an Engineering Intern in the Engineering & Construction department! This paid, temporary position offers the chance to assist in the design, research, and documentation of substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will gain exposure to various energy storage technologies while supporting engineering projects through tasks like material gathering, data organization, and project management assistance. Collaborate with experienced engineers, contribute ideas, solve challenges, and advance project goals. This role provides valuable learning and development opportunities, including training and mentorship, to enhance your technical skills. You will also have the opportunity to present your work to the team.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree in electrical engineering or similar background
  • Prolonged periods of working at a computer

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering team in designing substations, BESS systems and have exposure to learn about various energy storage technologies out in the market
  • Researching new materials, technologies, or methods relevant to energy storage development
  • Assist in writing reports, documenting procedures, and creating technical documentation
  • Support engineering projects by performing tasks such as gathering materials, organizing data, or assisting in project management
  • Working closely with engineers and other team members to brainstorm ideas, solve problems, and contribute to the overall project goals
  • Opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, attend training sessions, and develop their technical skills and knowledge
  • Chance to present their work or findings to colleagues or management, gaining valuable experience in communication and presentation skills
