Engineering Manager (Junior)

Requirements

• 7+ years of management experience in frontend/backend engineering teams
• A deep understanding of frontend technologies, UI/UX design principles, and integration patterns
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching abilities with both frontend and backend engineers
• Experience in project management, prioritization, and roadmap planning
• A proven track record of delivering integrated solutions that meet business requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of user-centric frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Set priorities, budgets, roadmaps, and goals for the frontend team in coordination with product management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define development requirements and ensure alignment with product goals
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a professional team consisting of frontend/backend developers
• Promote a culture of ownership and accountability over our development processes, making them seamless and efficient
• Depending on the team, participation in an on-call rotation with additional compensation might be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Japanese language proficiency at a business or native level
• Understanding of cultural differences
• Knowledge and experience in chatbots, AI, marketing, and SaaS products
