Summary
Join Liftoff's Engineering Productivity team as a key player in enhancing product delivery and engineering efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in cross-team initiatives, streamlining collaboration, and driving process improvements through automation. Responsibilities include reviewing and improving processes, implementing solutions, driving adoption of best practices, and managing program/project timelines. You will also be responsible for JIRA administration, reporting, and maintaining positive team dynamics. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience (or a Master's degree and 3+ years of experience), strong communication and problem-solving skills, and experience with JQL, SQL, data visualization, Python, Agile methodologies, and JIRA administration. This full-time remote role offers a full compensation package including equity and health/vision/dental benefits.
Requirements

- Technical background: understand how web services work
- Experience with JQL, SQL and data visualization

Responsibilities
- Play pivotal role in technical initiatives to ensure close alignment between teams working on joint projects
- Streamline cross-team collaboration and stakeholder communication to reduce frictions arising from lack of context, miscommunication and misunderstanding
- Review and improve process efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process solutions
- Drive automation to minimize cognitive load and harmonize team metrics
- Work with teams to drive adoption of best practices (e.g., DORA metrics)
- Address team concerns, create adoption plans and ensure successful adoption
- Define and manage program/project timelines
- Define risk scorecards and manage risk
- Set and communicate milestones
- Track and report on program/project progress
- Identify areas for improvement within existing processes
- Ensure teams adhere to JIRA hygiene and software capitalization standards
- Become subject matter expert in JIRA to provide administration support, workflow optimization and automation
- Stay up-to-date with JIRA best practices
- Develop processes for generating financial and accounting reports
- Support incident response and postmortem processes
- Create and maintain dashboards to track progress and metrics
- Host regular sync meetings and facilitate communication
- Track and follow up on action items
- Coach team members on Agile and Scrum best practices
- Adapt to changing needs and motivate teams to achieve goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in leading DORA adoption
- Proven experience in using DORAβs Fourkey metrics to drive improvements
- Experience in managing stakeholders and cross-team collaboration in geographically diverse team operating in multiple timezones
- Software engineering background
- Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
