English to Mandarin/Cantonese Interpreter in Malaysia

Summary

The job is for a Mobile Interpreter who can fluently speak English and Mandarin/Cantonese. The position is a 12-month contract, renewable, with flexible working hours that may include night shifts. Training is provided, and benefits include paid sick leave, annual leave, and public holidays.

Requirements

• Fluency in English with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills
• Proficiency in the native language with fluent reading, writing, and speaking abilities
• Ability to work from home with a quiet and secure environment
• Own a mobile phone running Android 12 or above or iOS 15 or updated version laptop
• Willingness to work rotating shifts for 9 hours at night time, according to the schedule provided by the client

Responsibilities

Facilitate communication between parties who speak different languages, accurately interpret conversations between the caller (native language) and the emergency operator (English), and ensure both parties understand each other
