Equipment Engineer, Maintenance Engineer

Join Zigzag's engineering department as an Equipment/Maintenance Engineer and contribute to a growing global consultancy. You will be part of a master data team focused on delivering high-quality client outcomes in asset-intensive industries. This fast-paced role requires strong communication and attention to detail. Responsibilities include identifying parts for maintenance, improving processes, and creating deliverables such as Bills of Materials and work instructions. The position requires a minimum of two years of mechanical experience or a mechanical engineering degree and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical role or mechanical engineering degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to learn new software and technical concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and can-do attitude
• Must be willing to report on a hybrid setup for 3x-4x in Ortigas

Responsibilities

• Identify parts required for maintenance tasks including images of assemblies and sub-assemblies from OEM manuals such as Hitachi, Liebherr, Caterpillar etc
• Ability to identify breakdown components from a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems
• Aptitude to work in accordance with documented methods and processes, creating a quality output for the clients
• Improve Processes: Identify ways to improve processes to help us become even more efficient and effective
• Deliver Bill Of Materials – Itemised breakdown of required materials within systems
• Deliver Task lists – Required components to carry out scheduled replacements
• Deliver Work Instructions – Document procedure for mechanic to carry out replacement if required
• Deliver Strategy – Identify potential gaps and improvements to existing maintenance regime

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mining or industrial sectors
• Previous experience with either SAP, Maximo or Pronto software
