Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering, Energy Management, Real Estate, Sustainability, or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in related field
  • Project Management Experience
  • Strong quantitative skills and established analytical ability
  • Demonstrated interest in capital markets and commercial real estate
  • Familiarity with building systems and local/state benchmarking regulations
  • Experience managing relationships and setting expectations with asset managers, property managers, and project teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to adapt to meet the needs of the company
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Excellent public speaking skills (conferences, meetings with internal global teams and clients)
  • Performance oriented team player
  • Experience with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) & ability to learn new applications

Responsibilities

  • Manage the β€˜greening’ of a portfolio of existing buildings
  • Support ESG program needs including data management, survey collection, reporting and certifications coordination between the clients and property teams
  • Coordinate data collection with Asset and Property Managers to manage utility data
  • Provide data management support in the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager platform
  • Aid with data collection requests, surveys, green building certifications and sustainability audits including energy, water, waste, carbon emissions and indoor air quality assessments
  • Support our client’s ESG programs with tracking ESG data portfolio wide, sustainability and ESG reporting, implementing employee and tenant engagement, and education programs
  • Conduct ESG assessments
  • Complete due diligence questionnaires
  • Implement ESG policies
  • Track ongoing progress
  • Support educational webinars and presentations
  • Support the Verdani team with GRESB, UNPRI and annual data collection efforts for ESG reports, speaking engagements and award applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Architecture, Environmental Science/Design/Engineering, or related fields
  • LEED Accredited Professional – EBOM
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Ability to manage, manipulate and analyze utility billing and usage data (energy, water, waste)
  • Familiarity with Green Building Certifications including LEED, ENERGY STAR, Fitwel etc
  • Experience with top ESG Reporting Frameworks including GRESB, UNPRI, CDP etc
  • Familiar with key ESG Standards including GRI, TCFD, SASB etc
