Join Marqeta as a Key Account Manager and partner with a cross-functional team to manage a global strategic account. Leverage your experience in growth and relationship-building to deliver exceptional client service and identify revenue opportunities. You will persistently explore customer business needs to demonstrate how Marqeta's product offerings can drive growth. This role is flexible and can be performed remotely within Greater London. You will be responsible for a range of strategically essential activities, including understanding customer needs, challenging assumptions, using data to drive growth, connecting cross-functional teams, and exceeding revenue targets. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in account management within the fintech industry.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in Account Management
- Proven experience growing and scaling strategic accounts and building multi-stakeholder relationships
- Familiarity and first-hand knowledge in fintech, banking or payments
- Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email) and track record of creating and executing strategic account plans
- Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment, gaining buy-in at multiple levels across the organization
- Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and a self-starter who is able to lead a team independently
- Strong grasp of industry trends and competitive landscape
- Hands-on experience in negotiating contracts, pricing models and renewals
- Proven track record of cross-selling and upselling, and ability to identify new revenue streams based on customer needs
- Experience leading business reviews and using data-driven strategies to make informed decisions
Responsibilities
- Partner with a cross-functional team and manage one of our global strategic accounts
- Provide exceptional client service
- Uncover revenue-generating opportunities and workable solutions to your customers
- Persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your customer to understand how our product offerings can grow their business
- Constantly dig deeper to understand your customers, Marqeta, our technology, and the industry in general
- Push yourself, the team, and your customers to think outside of the box and find creative solutions to strategic challenges
- Model, plan, and monitor a path to growth based on the right data
- Support cross-functional efforts and connect people and ideas to drive innovation
- Chart a path to ambitious growth targets and hit them
- Negotiate contracts, pricing models and renewals
- Identify new revenue streams based on customer needs
- Lead business reviews and use data-driven strategies to make informed decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or familiarity with BNPL industry, Card Issuing and Processing experience
