Join Marqeta as a Key Account Manager to partner with a cross-functional team and manage a global strategic account. Leverage your growth and relationship-building expertise to deliver exceptional client service, identify revenue opportunities, and develop effective solutions. You will thoroughly understand customer business needs to show how Marqeta's offerings can drive growth. This Flexible First role can be performed remotely within Greater London. Responsibilities include acting as a Curious Questioner, Thoughtful Challenger, Numbers Fanatic, Strategic Connector, and Revenue Overachiever. You'll need deep FinTech knowledge and a proven track record of success in account management.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in Account Management
- Proven experience growing and scaling strategic accounts and building multi-stakeholder relationships
- Familiarity and first-hand knowledge in fintech, banking or payments
- Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email) and track record of creating and executing strategic account plans
- Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment, gaining buy-in at multiple levels across the organization
- Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and a self-starter who is able to lead a team independently
- Strong grasp of industry trends and competitive landscape
- Hands-on experience in negotiating contracts, pricing models and renewals
- Proven track record of cross-selling and upselling, and ability to identify new revenue streams based on customer needs
- Experience leading business reviews and using data-driven strategies to make informed decisions

Preferred Qualifications
Experience or familiarity with BNPL industry, Card Issuing and Processing experience
