Requirements

• California Esthetician license required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred or comparable job experience
• Acne Expert Certification a plus
• Basic understanding of skincare techniques, products and treatments
• Includes knowledge of different skin types, conditions and the ability to recommend appropriate skincare regimens
• Proficiency in performing various facial treatments such as cleansing, exfoliation, extractions and mask applications
• Should be skilled in adapting treatments based on individual skin needs
• Familiarity with the operation of esthetician equipment such as steamers, microdermabrasion machines and other specialized tools used in skincare treatments
• Basic computer skills including navigating operations systems (windows/ MacOS), word processing software, email communication (composing and sending messages, attaching files, organizing messages into folders)
• Efficiently managing appointment schedules and treatment times to provide timely and effective services to clients

Responsibilities

• Fully understands the Clear Skin Method and Adaptive Approach
• Understanding of the professional and retail product assortment
• Understanding of the various treatment protocols
• Understanding of the client’s clear skin journey
• Familiar with skincare products, including ingredients, formulations, and their effects on the skin, this will allow the esthetician to recommend suitable products for client’s specific needs
• Can conducts through client consultations to assess skin concerns, allergies and preferences
• Effective communication skill is crucial in understanding and addressing clients’ needs
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, including ethical behavior, confidentiality and a positive attitude
• Build trust with client
• Strict adherence to proper sanitation and hygiene practices that are set forth by the CA Board of Barbering and Cosmetology
• Maintain clean tools and workspace
• Has the ability to recommend and sell skincare products to clients, providing guidance on at-home skincare routines
