Join TAIT and build the infrastructure that powers tomorrow. As a Technician/Electrician, you will assist in installing EV charging infrastructure throughout California as part of a traveling crew. This role is ideal for apprentices seeking field experience in a fast-growing sector. You will assist with conduit installation, wire pulling, and gear setup under the supervision of licensed electricians. TAIT provides tools, support, and a team environment. Help expand access to EV power statewide and be part of something bigger.
Requirements
- Registered Electrician Trainee or enrolled in a state-approved apprenticeship program
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and construction practices
- Willingness to learn and take direction on active job sites
- Complete background check, MVR, drug test, and physical
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide
- Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites
- Physically fit to travel and work in field conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors
- Willingness to travel throughout California is required; per-diem provided
Responsibilities
- Assist in installing EV charging infrastructure on new construction sites
- Support conduit installation (EMT and underground)
- Pull wire, prepare terminations, and set gear under guidance
- Load/unload materials and prep job sites for electrical work
- Follow safety procedures and complete tasks to code
- Travel throughout California as part of a field crew
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and help document progress
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience with conduit, wire pulling, or electrical installations
- OSHA 10 certification
- Interest in EV infrastructure or renewable energy
