Summary

Join Coalition, a leading Active Insurance provider, as an Executive Production Underwriter. This fully remote position, based anywhere in California with a preference for San Francisco or Los Angeles, requires 8+ years of multi-line underwriting experience in Technology E&O/Cyber. You will be responsible for generating profitable business from assigned brokers, managing a range of products, and educating brokers and customers on cyber risk protection. This role involves close collaboration with sales and product teams, strategic relationship building, and market analysis. You will also be responsible for developing and executing recommendations to capture market share within your assigned geography. Travel is expected, including quarterly onsite visits and internal gatherings.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of multi-line underwriting experience within the Technology E&O/Cyber segment
  • Wholesale and Retail relationships in the San Francisco Bay Area; relationships in Los Angeles an added plus
  • Ability to work independently within the current level of underwriting authority
  • Strong sales, communication and marketing skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate success with managing tight time frames, high volumes of work, direct agency relationships
  • Proficient background in risk analysis (especially in Technology & Cyber insurance)
  • Knowledge and proficiency with technical issues, compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals
  • Negotiation, relationship-building, influencing skills, and a creative approach to challenges and opportunities
  • Self-starter and ability to take initiative with brokers in scheduling meetings, broker events, quarterly sales and metrics calls with brokers, etc

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales and product staff to assess cyber products and capabilities
  • Work with the Sales organization, execute strategies specific to technology and cyber insurance, and develop and manage key strategic relationships in order to achieve production and profit targets
  • Identify new customers through effective pipelining, pre-qualification, and territory analysis/management
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of the local cyber insurance marketplace and trends, Coalition’s capabilities within the geography, and corporate vision
  • Develop and execute recommendations to profitably capture market share across assigned geography
  • 20-35% travel depending on territory. Including but not limited to quarterly onsite visits and internal gatherings

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional designations such as CIC, RPLU, and CIPP preferred
