Experienced Software Engineer

Summary

Join Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions, Hungary’s most attractive employer in 2025, as a skilled IT professional in their Geo Fiber Solutions-Hub (GFS). GFS designs and develops automated planning and documentation processes and IT systems for FTTH expansion in Germany. The role involves working in an international, cross-functional team using Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe). You will contribute to the entire value stream of FTTH expansion, from planning to construction. The position requires strong software development experience, proficiency in various programming languages and technologies, and excellent communication skills. Remote work is possible within Hungary.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software development, preferably in a similar domain
• Proficiency in programming languages and technologies relevant to the project
• Ability to work effectively in an international and distributed team environment
• Agile mindset and experience working in Scrum or SAFe frameworks as part of a dev-team collaborating with product management
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective prioritization and task management to meet project deadlines
• Good communication skills in English (B2) and (optionally) in German language
• Script-oriented programming, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Frameworks/libraries: Node.js, Express.js
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL), experience with complex SQL queries
• Python 3, pytest
• HTTP, REST API, OpenAPI
• GitLab experience (version control, branching strategies, collaborative workflows)
• Basic CI/CD knowledge
• Test writing experience using Jest
• Platform security & policies: Technical/IT security

Responsibilities

• Develop highly automated planning and documentation processes, including associated IT systems for industrialized FTTH expansion in Germany
• Work in an international and distributed team environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially front-end developers
• Contribute to the value stream of the FTTH expansion from planning phase through approval phase to construction
• Effectively prioritize and manage tasks to meet project deadlines
• Follow industry trends, attend workshops/conferences, or trainings to stay relevant in the evolving tech landscape
