Summary

Join Vital Farms as a Compliance Auditor and contribute to their mission of bringing ethically produced food to the table. You will be responsible for assessing and monitoring farms for compliance with Vital Farms standards and external regulations, ensuring the highest quality of pasture-raised practices. This role involves regular farm inspections, collaborating with growers to support their learning and development, and maintaining close communication with the Farm Compliance and Farm Support teams. You will be based in south-central Missouri or north central Arkansas, requiring significant travel and overnight trips. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required with 1+ year relevant experience in Agriculture, or 4+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree, poultry experience is a plus
  • Candidates need to be located in south-central Missouri or north central Arkansas area
  • Professional communication skills
  • Analytical capabilities with the skillset to generate insight from data
  • Goal setting; internally motivated
  • Highly organized and autonomous
  • Transparent mindset towards open communication with all stakeholders, including team members, growers, and certifying bodies
  • Ability to manage significant travel, with considerable driving and up 20% overnight trips

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct regular inspections to ensure VF; s standards and pasture raised practices are maintained on each of our small family farms
  • Schedule and participate in third party inspections including regulatory bodies, customers, and organic certifiers
  • Develop close professional working relationships with our Growers to support their learning and development in the importance of active farm management
  • Collaborate with Growers to assist them with audit preparation activities, including collecting appropriate documentation and determining optimal scheduling
  • Listen to Grower needs and concerns and diplomatically solve challenges
  • Collaborate and maintain close contact with the Farm Compliance and Farm Support crew to share best practices and provide support
