Summary
Join GuidePoint Security as a cybersecurity professional contributing to strategies for Federal Government agencies and teaming partners. Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions, respond to RFxs, and position cybersecurity services. Analyze customer needs, manage proof-of-value projects, and create marketing materials. This primarily remote role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and experience in a technical consulting or pre-sales capacity. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the cybersecurity market and a passion for the field. Must be local to Reston, VA and possess or be able to obtain an SSBI for a Federal security clearance.
Requirements
- Ability to work closely with sales, marketing and channel teams to align technical solutions with client needs and strategic business goals, including participation in strategic account planning
- Possess or pass an SSBI to hold a Federal security clearance
- Have experience as a technical consultant, pre-sales engineer, solution architect, or a similar customer/partner technical role
- Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct high level technical discussions and engage with customers and OEMs confidently
- Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude, quickly grasp new concepts, with a passion to learn different technologies
- Bring a deep knowledge of the cybersecurity market and a keen awareness of industry trends and emerging opportunities or bring a cyber security background and are excited to learn the entire cyber landscape to navigate conversations with customers in any domain
- Can quickly build rapport with customers and OEM partners and genuinely are interested in team building with a positive outlook on working with others inside of GuidePoint Security and outside of GuidePoint Security
- Live in the DC metro area and be available for onsite meetings at GPS HQ and customer locations with minimal notice however this role is mostly remote
- Have direct SOC operations experience and can implement or operate a SIEM, SOAR and Data Analytics solutions

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with GuidePoint Security professional services, OEM sales and technical teams developing strategies for Federal Government agencies and Teaming Partners such as Large Systems Integrators as customer opportunities, solutions for use cases and responses to customer questions
- Assist in the development of GuidePoint Services SOW (Statement of Work) that align with customer needs and goals
- Provide analysis of customer issued RFxโs (RFPs/RFIs) technical requirements to determine feasibility, ensure compliance and then development of responses to RFxโs, ensuring that proposals effectively address customer needs and differentiate GuidePoint Securityโs offerings
- Engage with GuidePoint professional services team to position and sell GuidePoint cyber security services to Federal agency customers
- Engage with customers, GPS services and OEMs to understand their technology stack, tools, and integration needs, and provide a technical overview to the sales team
- Manage complex proof-of-value projects and design experiments that showcase GuidePoint Security's ability to integrate multiple technologies and solve cyber security problems
- Assist in developing reference architectures, presentations and marketing briefs that helps GuidePoint Security attract customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience working directly with customers external to your organization building integrated solutions from multiple companies
- Have experience with Cloud Security solutions such as CNAPP, SSPM, DSPM
- Have experience with Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, F5, Splunk
