Finance Supervisor

Summary

Join World Business Lenders (WBL) as a remote Contract/Consultant overseeing and reviewing the preparation of financial reports, supervising the finance team, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will manage the audit process, identify process improvements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide financial updates to senior management. This 100% remote position requires a CPA certification, a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing, including experience in audit firms, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. A master's degree is preferred. The position offers 11 US paid holidays and compensation determined by experience.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing, with a proven track record in financial management and supervision
• Have experience in audit firms, with a strong background in auditing financial statements and compliance
• Possess extensive experience in both audit finance and accounting functions
• Have a strong working knowledge of audit standards, financial regulations, and compliance practices
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills
• Be fluent in English (both verbal and written), with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with global teams
• Possess a positive attitude, proactive work ethic, and the ability to solve problems independently
• Have exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Be willing to continuously learn and adapt to new industry trends and technologies

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP)
• Supervise the finance team, guiding them in data collection, analysis, and reporting, while ensuring high-quality and timely financial information delivery
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards, keeping up to date with changes in financial regulations and implementing necessary updates
• Manage the audit process, collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure efficient audits and addressing any findings or recommendations
• Identify and implement process improvements within financial reporting, driving efficiency and accuracy across the finance function
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and provide strategic support to business units
• Provide regular financial updates and strategic recommendations to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and areas for improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Have familiarity with SQL, Power BI, and Python
• Possess a master's degree
• Have experience with Microsoft Teams and other financial tools
