Summary

Join Wayfinder, a leading SEL curriculum company, as a Curriculum Designer to create engaging financial literacy activities for grades 6-12. This fully remote contract position, starting February 2025 and lasting through April 2025, offers a flat rate of $10,000. You will collaborate with a team to develop comprehensive activities, integrate customer feedback, and create supporting media. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience teaching financial literacy, curriculum design, and a commitment to diverse learning. Requirements

  • Extensive experience teaching financial literacy to students in grades 6 through 12
  • Deep subject matter expertise in financial literacy, including key topics like budgeting, credit, taxes, banking, and paying for college
  • Experience designing print and digital curricula for students
  • Diverse Experience: Experience designing for diverse groups of people (i.e. students from different socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, geographies, etc.)
  • Welcomes Feedback: Ability to welcome and appreciate direct feedback and collaboration
  • Flexible: Comfortable pivoting quickly to meet the needs of our school partners
  • Works Well With Others: a skilled collaborator and communicator comfortable working with other curriculum designers and experts across the product team
  • Self-Motivated: Consistent and relentless self-starter who takes initiative while knowing when to ask for support and direction; this position will need to onboard quickly and efficiently in order to start working as soon as possible
  • Organized: You are going to be working across multiple products; an extremely high level of organization is essential
  • Attention to Detail: Extremely attentive to detail and nuance in curriculum design

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive activities, including teacher guides, slide decks, and any other supplemental materials to support their implementation
  • Review and integrate customer feedback from existing financial literacy content
  • Collaborate with Wayfinder teammates to create visuals, videos, and other media that support the curriculum
  • Proofread curriculum and upload curriculum on Wayfinder’s app

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfort writing curriculum in Spanish and translating curriculum from English to Spanish
  • Experience developing Tier 2 and Tier 3 content/ experience teaching students with disabilities
