Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in FIX-based trading systems development, with specific accomplishments in building FIX APIs
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages with demonstrable skills in one of Rust, Typescript, C++, or C#, with a focus on efficacy and appropriate pattern use
  • Expert knowledge of message queue and message bus technologies, e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, and Redis Streams
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced trading environment
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration and management of FIX API, FIX certification and management as well as ongoing development of our proprietary trading APIs
  • Work with our implementation of message queue and message bus systems optimizing for high throughput and low latency
  • Collaborate closely with the trading team to convert complex requirements into reliable and scalable technical solutions
  • Conduct thorough work with testing and QA to maintain system integrity and performance, preparing for and managing peak trading volumes
  • Proactively tackle system performance issues, devising and implementing solutions to enhance trading efficiency and effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Background in financial markets, trading strategies, and quantitative analysis
  • Previous exposure to a high-frequency trading (HFT) environment
