Summary
Join Valon's Investor Reporting team as a Flow Servicing Analyst and support key functions related to flow servicing, including seller coordination, fund application, reconciliation, and data validation. You will review and reconcile investor account activity, validate loan purchase advice and funding data, and prepare documentation for client billing and reporting. The ideal candidate has 1β2 years of mortgage servicing experience and is comfortable working with numbers and communicating effectively. Responsibilities include applying incoming funds, retrieving data from investor platforms, escalating discrepancies, and contributing to trend analysis. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to improve workflow processes and responding to internal inquiries are also key aspects of this role. Requirements
- 1β2 years of experience in mortgage servicing, investor reporting, loan onboarding/servicing transfers, or accounting support functions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., data sorting, formulas, basic pivot tables)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Interest in mortgage servicing, finance, or accounting processes
- 1β2 years of experience in a data, finance, or mortgage servicing-related role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment
- Open to learning and adapting in a fast-paced, tech-driven company
Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and reconciling investor account activity
- Support the validation of loan purchase advice and funding data
- Help prepare documentation for client billing and reporting tasks
- Apply incoming funds to the correct accounts after reconciling with transfer data
- Retrieve and organize data from investor platforms for internal analysis and tracking
- Escalate discrepancies and variances to senior team members for resolution
- Contribute to trend tracking and post-reconciliation analysis under supervision
- Participate in cash management tasks such as tracking remittance timelines and verifying wire transfers
- Maintain awareness of servicing transfer processes and related data requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve workflow processes
- Respond to internal inquiries and assist with documentation needs during audits
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Finance, Accounting, or Business degree preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, or Ginnie Mae is a plus
