Food Data Curator

Summary

The job is for a Food Data Curator at MyFitnessPal, responsible for researching, correcting, and categorizing food data, improving the process of food curation, assisting with product and marketing content development, and recipe analysis. The contract is valid through 2024 with a possibility of extension.

Requirements

• Native French speaker, currently living in France is highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience working with nutrition analysis software
• Experience in navigating verified food data systems like FoodData Central
• Knowledge of food preparation/cooking, recipe creation, recipe analysis
• High attention to detail
• Ability to provide constructive feedback, problem solve, and improve systems and processes
• Strong interest in helping millions of people achieve their health and fitness goals

Responsibilities

• Verify food data for accuracy and completeness
• Categorize and tag foods within our food taxonomy system
• Improve the process of food curation by providing feedback
• Manage food data in our database
• Assist with product and marketing content development and recipe analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Dietitian (or German equivalent)
