Forward Deployed Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Forward Deployed Engineer at Realm Alliance, responsible for enhancing security at mine sites in Africa by providing on-site support, problem solving, product implementation, business development, and acting as a liaison between clients and the product development team. Requirements include prior on-site experience or deployment in Africa, problem-solving skills, communication skills, adaptability, team player skills, and French/Portuguese proficiency are preferred.

Requirements

• Prior on-site business experience or deployment in Africa
• Problem-solving skills: Demonstrated ability to solve engineering problems and think strategically. Familiarity with physical security systems is a plus
• Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Adaptability: Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to different cultural and working environments across the African continent. French and/or Portuguese proficiency is a plus
• Team player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business development and product development

Responsibilities

• Customer support: Travel to both current and prospective customer sites to understand their specific security needs and challenges. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and ensuring their long-term satisfaction with Realm's solutions
• Problem solving: Utilize technical expertise to diagnose and solve complex security issues using Realm's technology
• Product implementation: Lead the deployment of Realm's security platform at client sites, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
• Business development: Identify and develop new product opportunities to land and expand at our current customer’s sites. Work closely with the BD team to grow Realm's client base
• Feedback loop: Act as a liaison between clients and Realm's product development team, conveying customer feedback and suggesting improvements to enhance our platform

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in military/intelligence, physical security, mining, or related industries
• Experience working with international clients and managing projects in diverse environments
