Summary

Axiom is a startup using zero-knowledge proofs to scale smart contract applications. They are looking for a founding backend engineer to build systems interfacing between low-level computer systems and ZK proofs, requiring strong engineering design skills and experience with Rust or similar languages, as well as hands-on experience with computer architecture and security mindset.

Requirements

• Strong engineering design skills
• Ability to work across the stack
• Security mindset
• Fluent in Rust, C++, or a similarly performant backend language
• Experience with some aspect of computer architecture
• Extremely detail oriented and have a security mindset
• Clear communicator and value collaboration
• Strong bias towards action

Responsibilities

Build systems to interface between low-level computer systems like assembly code and databases and ZK proofs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with compiler frameworks like LLVM or MLIR
• Experience with aspects of low level computer architecture like RISC-V or programming FGPAs or other custom hardware
• Experience with database backends, including experience with query planning or low level query engines
• Experience with low-level details of Ethereum
