Founding Product Designer

Summary

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability in digital product design and user experience, including user journey mapping, storyboarding and prototyping, user testing, and validation of hypotheses
• Expertise in running effective user interviews
• At least 7-10 years of experience in product design and at least 3 years of experience working on a product that uses complex technologies and data
• Leads with data-informed product design and development
• People-focused design mentality and want to design and build products/features that truly have a significant impact
• Comfortable working in ambiguous spaces that are technically complex
• Phenomenal communicator and compelling storyteller, both written and verbally
• Proven track record of influencing decision-making at all levels within an organization and in a variety of contexts
• Has an online portfolio or PDF that can be shared

Responsibilities

• Be the first hire in the product team at freeflow
• Work closely with the founders to create, design, and launch the early iterations of the freeflow product
• Engage with users to solicit feedback via customer interviews and discovery calls
• Challenge the status quo on innovation and quality of UX design
• Take full ownership of your work every step of the way, from whiteboard sketching to high-fidelity final treatments
• Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach
• Proactively look for and resolve high-level issues and seek out opportunities to continually improve the product

• $160,000-$185,000 a year + 0.25%-0.50% equity
