Summary

Join Twine as an Entry-Level CAD Designer for a 6-month contract. Design construction plans for porches, decks, and patios using SketchUp or similar software while ensuring compliance with North Carolina building codes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar design software
• Basic understanding of North Carolina building codes related to porches, decks, and patios
• Familiarity with permit submission processes and requirements for construction projects
• Ability to interpret and produce accurate construction drawings
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for porches, decks, and patios using SketchUp or similar software
• Ensure that all designs comply with North Carolina building codes and local regulations
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop design solutions that meet project requirements
• Submit permit applications to local municipalities and ensure all required documentation is included
• Update and modify designs based on project changes, feedback, or code requirements
• Assist in preparing construction documents, including material takeoffs and design layouts
• Maintain organised and accurate records of all project drawings, permits, and related documentation
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and local government offices to ensure smooth project approvals and progress
