Freelance Design Director

Summary

Landor is seeking a Freelance Design Director to join their Cincinnati studio. The candidate should be a master designer, an advocate for design, a business leader, and a mentor. They should have at least 2 years of experience as a Design Director in branding/digital, 8 years+ of broad creative and management experience, and a degree in Graphic design, communication, design, fine arts, or a related field.

Requirements

• 2 years experience as a Design Director in branding/digital is required for your success
• 8 years+ of broad creative and management experience is required
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Graphic design, communication, design, fine arts, or a related field is required

Responsibilities

• As a creative explorer, you’ll uncover solutions and ideas through design, provide inspirational leadership for the creative team, and be a storyteller and brand strategist
• As an advocate for design, you’ll communicate effectively, build relationships with clients and within the office, and deal with different personalities and seniority levels
• As a business leader & mentor, you’ll think strategically, understand branding, arrive at insights that solve challenges via the client's brand, be results-focused, organized, and skilled in planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-discipline teams and design leaders is preferred
• Motion and/or Industrial Design Skills are a plus
• Experience in Digital Offer is a plus
