Freelance Producer

Summary

The job is for two Freelance Producers to manage and grow new event verticals for Sofar in various cities. They will organize and promote shows, curate and book artists and venues, and collaborate with the central Concerts team to build and execute strategies.

Requirements

You have 1-3 years of experience in live event curation, production, promotions, social media marketing, guerilla marketing, sales, and/or partnerships

Responsibilities

• Own and grow on the success of one of our new format verticals – potentially including Sofar Singles Nights (“Heartbeat”), and others
• Promote and sell tickets in your city with self-directed local marketing tactics
• Create a vision and collaborate with the central Concerts team to build and execute your strategy to grow this Sofar offering - number of monthly shows, neighborhoods, show theme ideas, etc
• Lead curation and booking for shows in your city with the highest-quality, diverse set of artists and venues, continuing to grow our networks, as needed
• Identify and build relationships with local organizations with like-minded audiences to build community, broaden our reach, and co-promote shows
• Own the quality of shows in your local market, working closely with the central Concerts team and local staff to ensure magical experiences that are rooted in hospitality

• You have a strong pulse on your city, the unique nature of each neighborhood, and where people like to spend their free time
• You know how to connect with diverse community-driven organizations, media partners, or local businesses that would add strategic value to your city’s growth
• You understand how to promote and build strategic alliances that will ultimately sell more tickets at our shows
• You’re actively engaged in your local cultural scene and build community around it
