Front End Developer

Responsibilities include developing front-end solutions using Drupal and Acquia Cloud, collaborating with the team, optimizing web applications, and staying up-to-date with emerging trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on Drupal (Drupal 8/9 preferred)
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Strong experience with theming and templating in Drupal, including Twig and PHP templating
• Expertise in Acquia Cloud solutions and integrations with Drupal
• Experience with responsive design and development, ensuring compatibility across various devices and browsers
• Understanding of RESTful services and API integration with Drupal
• Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain responsive front-end solutions using Drupal (preferably Drupal 8/9) and Acquia Cloud
• Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and other team members to ensure seamless front-end and back-end functionalities integration
• Design and implement custom themes, templates, and components based on business requirements
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring cross-browser compatibility
• Implement best practices for front-end development, including clean, maintainable code and reusable components
• Work with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into code, ensuring high-quality visual and interactive elements
• Debug and resolve front-end issues, ensuring websites and applications are fully functional and bug-free
• Maintain and improve Acquia-based sites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and accessibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with headless Drupal or decoupled architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes in Acquia environments
• Experience with performance optimization techniques and tools
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized development environments
