Summary

Join Medely, a high-growth healthcare technology start-up reimagining the future of healthcare work, as a Staff Front End Engineer. Lead the development process and write GraphQL server-side and client-side code for web applications to improve Medely’s core experience.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of professional front end development experience; 3+ years of experience in React, including experience with state management, animations, and Webpack
  • Experience working as a technical lead and/or architect for an Agile Engineering team
  • Experience mentoring and investing in the development of engineers and peers
  • Experience delivering features through production
  • Awareness of performance considerations such as cross-browser compatibility, componentization, and load-time optimizations
  • Strong understanding of GraphQL server development and GraphQL-focused architecture
  • Strong understanding of React/JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience architecting single-page applications and/or mobile-first web applications
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and be willing to roll up your sleeves and execute

Responsibilities

  • Act as front end technical lead for cross-functional agile software engineering team
  • Lead code and design reviews, listening to feedback while sharing your knowledge with other members of the team
  • Work with product managers, designers, and engineering leadership team to drive architecture and product features
  • Design and implement highly visible user-facing features and applications
  • Deploy testable front end code with performance, maintainability, and scale in mind

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with React Native
  • Working with complex front end projects with highly interactive features
  • Experience developing with and integrating APIs
