Front End Engineer in Worldwide

Summary

Mix is seeking a Front End Developer with at least 5 years of experience working on React using TypeScript/JavaScript to help improve their existing web application and contribute to the development of new social discovery tools. The ideal candidate should have a strong design focus, be familiar with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Express, and be able to write fast, well-performing front-end code.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience working on React using TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Express

Responsibilities

• Improve our existing web application
• Help steer the direction of the company’s front-end team
• Write and organize lots of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Implement features with designers and other developers
• Build highly visual and dynamic web pages for a variety of form factors
• Help with APIs needed by our mobile team

Preferred Qualifications

• Worked on consumer products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong design focus and history of working with product designers and managers
• Dealt with restructuring an existing large, existing application code base as well as greenfield development
• Familiarity with Docker, AWS, CI, and CD
• Basic knowledge of SQL and non-relational data stores such as Redis, MongoDB, etc
• Experience with OO languages like Ruby, Python or Java
• Active open-source contributions
• Experience with browser integrations and extensions
• Creative thinker and self-starter

Benefits

• This will be a full-time position with a salary range of $160,000-$200,000
