Software Engineer III – Front-end

Summary

The Software Engineer III position at Foundry is an opportunity for a motivated and experienced software engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions. The role requires expertise in front-end technologies, proficiency in at least two programming languages, and knowledge of software development methodologies. Preferred qualifications include experience with the crypto industry, familiarity with cloud computing platforms, understanding of DevOps principles, and prior experience working in a startup environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 5-10 years of professional software development experience, focused on front-end development
• Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
• Deep Knowledge in at least two programming language (e.g., Go, Java, Python, C++, etc.)
• Expertise with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
• Passion for software development and a desire to grow as a software engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets customers' needs
• Collaborate with product managers and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions in accordance with best practices and coding standards
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance your skills and contribute to technology decisions
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and methodologies
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular project updates

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with and passion for the crypto industry
• Master’s Degree Preferred
• Deep Familiarity with domain-specific knowledge such as financial systems, healthcare regulations, e-commerce platforms
• Strong Proficiency with development tools, frameworks, and libraries such as specific IDEs, version control systems (e.g., Git), testing frameworks, and deployment tools
• Deep Knowledge of SQL and database design principles is often preferred
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Understanding of DevOps principles, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or personal GitHub repositories
• Prior experience working in a startup environment, with an understanding of the fast-paced and dynamic nature of startups
