Front-End Engineer

Summary

Join Jimdo's Billing & Payments team as a Front-End Engineer to lead the technical evolution of their payment platform. You will build and maintain UIs using React and TypeScript, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a reliable billing foundation. This role requires 4+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, familiarity with GraphQL, Node.js, and REST APIs, and proficiency in modern frontend testing. You will also mentor junior developers and maintain clear documentation. Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Node.js, and REST APIs
• Proficient in modern frontend testing (unit, integration, E2E)
• Knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, and performance tuning
• Experience working in distributed remote teams
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Experience with tools like Webpack, Vite, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain UIs using React and TypeScript
• Maintain and enhance code quality and best coding practices
• Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver reliable and impactful features
• Act as a partner to cross-functional teams, supporting product planning and delivery with technical insight
• Create and maintain clear, useful internal documentation for systems and services
• Mentor, support, and challenge developers more junior than you to foster growth and collaboration
