Frontend Engineer

Join Masabi, a company revolutionizing fare payment for public transport globally, as a Front-End Javascript Developer. You will be part of the Justride team, responsible for developing and maintaining web applications processing over \$1 billion in transactions annually. This fully remote role (Romania-based candidates) requires proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, and Angular, along with a strong understanding of web standards and accessibility. You will contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical roadmapping. Requirements

• A good command of the English language is required for this role, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Skilled in using JavaScript component frameworks like Vue and Angular
• Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility, and usability, including building and testing applications to adhere to WCAG AA-Level compliance
• Experienced with client-side bundlers such as Vite, Webpack or Rollup
• Committed to engaging within an active engineering community focused on improving development experiences for all
• Skilled in making pragmatic decisions and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Approachable, patient, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
• Passionate about maintaining technical quality and user-centred design
• Champion of best practices across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, automated testing, and operations

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain several web applications used by customers of the Justride platform
• Process over $1 billion in transactions a year
• Ensure high standards through comprehensive end-to-end and unit testing
• Refactor code to ensure adherence to the latest standards and best practices
• Work as part of a cross-discipline team
• Deliver robust and reusable components originating from product requirements through UX, design, development, and quality assurance
• Actively contribute to code reviews, pairing, knowledge sharing, mentoring and technical road-mapping

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hybrid web and mobile app development using Capacitor.JS, React Native or similar technologies
• Familiarity with native mobile technologies for both iOS and Android
• Experience working with other programming languages like Java, Kotlin, or Swift
