Front-End Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Staff Frontend Software Engineer to work remotely for Nerdy, a leading online learning platform. The role involves architecting scalable software solutions, understanding and implementing best practices, and creating technology that is highly performant and extensible. The engineer will also serve as a technical leader and play a pivotal role in shaping the overarching vision of the system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of working on complex systems
• Experience setting up and maintaining CD/CI workflows for Front End services
• In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures
• Experience with AWS
• Strong growth mindset to learn new technology stacks to address the business problems at hand
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• A strong owner willing to roll up their sleeves. This role includes coding and reviewing the code of others

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with React and Typescript is strongly preferred
