Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experienced frontend engineer who can not only architect and code solutions, but also help define a vision, and lead the team to deliver on that vision
  • Expertise and interest in developing with React
  • Owned the technical roadmap for large business areas
  • Experience working with complex APIs and data models
  • Experience building and using component libraries to develop customer-facing features in collaboration with product and design teams
  • Experience working with confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Enjoy mentoring other engineers in their technical careers to help them grow

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, evolve, and maintain the foundational frontend platform used by Level’s customers and internal teams
  • Partner closely with cross functional counterparts (product, design, data etc.) to set and execute towards the vision for the team
  • Build high quality applications to help launch product features and delight users
  • Inform API design and implementation through knowledge of web best practices
  • Provide hands-on leadership on multiple fronts (architecture/design, code reviews, quality assurance and incident management) to other engineers
  • Establish and drive adoption of design and coding best practices within the team
  • Architect efficient and reusable frontend systems to power complex web applications
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling and processes
