Front-End Web Developer and Designer

Summary

Join Rockpoint Legal Funding as a Front-End Web Developer & Designer! This remote contractor position offers the chance to contribute to a growing company's marketing efforts. You will maintain and upgrade their WordPress website, ensuring optimal performance and SEO. Responsibilities include content uploads, analytics monitoring, and collaboration with the Head of Technology. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, WordPress experience, custom coding skills, and advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO tools. Rockpoint offers paid time off and holidays.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
• Have prior experience in with WordPress
• Have a strong ability to write custom code
• Possess an advanced understanding and experience with Google Analytics (GA4)
• Have the ability to use SEO tools (Moz, Semrush, Etc.) to ascertain performance metrics
• Possess an advanced understanding of APIs and plug-ins associated with Tech Stack
• Possess advanced web design skills & front-end web programming skills
• Have a positive attitude & be a team player
• Possess strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
• Possess strong analytical & organizational skills
• Have immaculate attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade a WordPress based website tech stack, ensuring the integrity of custom built code as changes are applied
• Routinely upload fresh content, provided by a separate content creation team, to the site, maintaining appropriate URL structure and adding meta descriptions, Titles and tags according to Google SEO best practices
• Regularly meet with Head of Technology to check progress against goals and site KPIs and adjust strategy as needed
• Be able to suggest changes and updates according to best practices
• Monitor analytics to track performance and compare to other industry sites to ensure competitiveness
• Monitor backlink health and remove/disavow toxic backlinks as appropriate
• Front-end web and design
• Building new websites
• Managing multiple existing websites
