Summary

Join Docplanner as a Full Stack Developer in Colombia and contribute to building the next-generation of Practice Management Systems (PMS). You will report to technical leadership in Spain and collaborate with a global team. Your main responsibility will be developing and integrating complex features for health and financial regulations, ensuring product compliance and seamless connection within the Docplanner ecosystem. A 3-month paid onboarding program in Spain is included, providing training and team building before transitioning to remote work in Colombia. You will develop and own features for regulatory compliance, write clean and scalable PHP code, collaborate with developers worldwide, develop and consume APIs, and take ownership of the full product development lifecycle. You will also create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Backend developer, with a strong emphasis on PHP
  • Solid experience with modern PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony or similar (e.g., Laravel)
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases like MySQL, including schema design and writing efficient queries
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and a willingness to work with our React frontend or similar
  • Availability and willingness to travel and work from Spain for an initial 3-month onboarding period is a mandatory requirement for this role
  • Full professional fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory for effective communication between the Colombian and Global teams
  • A pragmatic, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the features for regulatory compliance, focusing on current health care regulation regarding the electronic invoicing and the interoperability with different public and private entities and services
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-tested PHP code within our Symfony-based backend, and contribute to our React-based frontend where necessary
  • Collaborate with your fellow worldwide developers and the core team in Spain to design, build, and deploy high-quality software
  • Develop and consume APIs to integrate Clinic Cloud with the main Doctoralia marketplace and local third-party services like payment gateways
  • Take ownership of the full product development lifecycle, from analyzing technical requirements and sprint planning to testing, deployment, and post-launch support
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the specific localizations and integrations you build

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience with API integration (REST, webhooks). Previous experience with complex government or financial APIs is a major plus
