Summary
Join our team as a Senior Software Developer Manager and lead a team of developers to build and maintain our industry-leading task management platform for remote workers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to ensure our software aligns with the company's vision. You will manage a small team of developers, develop code yourself, oversee team execution, and act as an escalation point for junior team members. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take on challenges with a proactive mindset.
Requirements
- 4 years plus experience as a software developer
- Proven experience as a web developer, both in front-end and back-end
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture
- Proficiency in database management systems, such as PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks like Next.js
- Experience with authentication services like Clerk Authentication
- Proficiency in using CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS
- Familiarity with tools like Vercel and Shadcn/UI components
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for writing clean, maintainable code
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive and self-starter attitude, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software developers, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and timely delivery of features for the in-house software platform
- Work with PM who Oversees the project management, including sprint planning, deadlines, and resource allocation
- Serve as escalation point to development team
- Ensure technology initiatives align with the companyβs business model and long-term vision
- Identify operational inefficiencies and propose tech-driven solutions
- Assist the COO in strategic planning, process improvements, and scaling operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Driven & Hands-on: Willing to dive into challenges and lead by example
- Collaborative: Works well across teams and departments
- Innovative: Always looking for ways to improve systems and processes
- Resilient: Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
