Summary
Join a rapidly growing, venture-capital-backed healthtech company as a Full-Stack Developer. You will be a key contributor, building impactful applications that directly support clinical and operational teams. This role focuses on developing scalable, full-stack applications using Ruby on Rails, with a balance of front-end and back-end responsibilities. You will work with relational databases and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates possess extensive full-stack development experience, particularly with Ruby on Rails, and a proven track record of building production-ready applications. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
Requirements
- Full-Stack Development Experience: 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer, building scalable, production-level applications
- Ruby on Rails Expertise: Proven experience developing production-ready applications using Ruby on Rails, including API development, background jobs, and performance optimization
- JavaScript/React Knowledge: Experience working with React (or similar modern frontend frameworks)
- Relational Database Skills: Strong understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc.) and experience designing, optimizing, and maintaining them
- Work History: Stable career progression with minimal job hopping
Responsibilities
- Start with a key project: building a mini application to support clinical quality checks
- Design and develop scalable full-stack applications using Ruby on Rails, with an even split between front-end and back-end tasks
- Manage relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server) to ensure performance, reliability, and integrity
- Build tools, services, and features that address real-world healthcare and operational challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs
- Ensure applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Preferred Qualifications
- Next.js experience
- Direct product company experience (not primarily consulting or dev shops), ideally with startup experience
- Healthcare Industry Exposure: Experience in healthcare is a plus but not required
